A downloadable game for Windows

Game features

  • A physical-table feel. Dice roll under cups, the player sees their own hand, opponents stay hidden, and a call triggers a full tabletop showdown.
  • Risk with consequences. Liar and Exact calls can send the loser to a Fate Die, turning a social bluff into a survival decision.
  • Runs beyond a single hand. Winners earn buttons, the Stall can change the pool, and surviving opponents can continue into later hands.
  • A hostile nautical mood. Lantern light, moonlight, rough wreckage, sea ambience, and an untrustworthy host frame the game from opening to ending.

Core Loop

Deal five dice to each living player -> roll beneath cups -> bid with Raise / Reveal / Liar / Exact -> reveal the table on a call -> resolve the Fate Die -> award Steer and rewards -> begin the next hand.

The World

The game opens in the bilge of a ruined vessel. A lantern cuts through the darkness while the cat welcomes the player with a promise of escape. As the camera settles into the broken table, the sea surrounds the wreck and the real game begins.

The Cast

The Cat - the smiling host who promises a way to shore. (To be updated)

The Rats - three opponents who bluff, reveal, call, survive, and sometimes disappear from the table permanently.

Gameplay Details

  • Hidden information: opponent dice are represented by placeholders until a die is revealed or a showdown occurs.
  • Reveal: expose one of your dice publicly without changing the rest of the hand.
  • Showdown: on Liar / Exact, every cup lifts and all dice are placed on the table for the true tally.
  • Fate: the loser is resolved through a dedicated Fate Die presentation.
  • Steer: the winner can influence the next deal before the next hand is rolled.
  • Economy: buttons provide a persistent resource for future Stall purchases and progression.
